Now that you have set up your Shelf account, here are some instructions on how to log in.

  2. Fill in your email address and password
  3. Click Log in

Log in via OTP (One time password) Alternatively, you can also log in via a One Time Password.

Log in via OTP (One Time Password)

Sometimes mail clients open links in your inbox folder, effectively breaking some workflows. An effective way to get access to your account and database is to use the OTP functionality.

  1. Go to app.shelf.nu/login
  2. Go to "Or use One Time Password"
  3. Fill in your email address and click Continue with OTP
  4. Check your mail inbox and copy the code
  5. Paste or type the code and click Log in

Log in via SSO (Single Sign-On)

If your organization uses single sign-on, click Login with SSO at the bottom of the login page, enter your company domain and sign in with your identity provider. Setting it up is described in the SSO guide.

Once SSO is live for your organization's domain, the password and one-time code methods above stop working for accounts on that domain, in the web app and in the Shelf Companion app. The only exception is the owner of the workspace that uses SSO, as long as that account has not been converted. What you see:

  • A wrong password for an address on an SSO domain adds a reminder under the form: If your organization uses single sign-on, use Login with SSO.
  • The one-time code page shows a similar reminder, and no code is sent.
  • If you were still signed in with a password, Shelf signs you out on your next page load and the login page says This email address signs in with single sign-on. Please use Login with SSO.

These reminders depend only on the domain, never on whether a particular account exists. Your existing account, with its custody, bookings and history, is the one you land in after signing in with SSO. See Moving existing accounts to SSO.
