Bookings is live 📆

This page tracked the build-out of Bookings, one of our most requested features. That build is done. Bookings has left beta, is generally available on Team and Enterprise plans, and has kept growing since the first release.

What you get today

• Reserve assets for a date range, with a custodian, a description, and tags.
• Real-time availability, so an asset that is already reserved, in custody, or out on another booking cannot be double-booked.
• A calendar view across the workspace, plus daily, weekly, and monthly availability views.
• Kit-aware reservations: book a kit and every asset inside it travels with the booking.
• Book by model: reserve a count of an Asset Model, such as "4x HDMI cable", and decide which physical units go out at pickup by scanning them.
• Quantity-tracked reservations for stock you track by quantity rather than as individual units.
• Progressive check-out and check-in, so a booking can go out and come back in parts rather than all at once.
• Automated check-out and check-in email reminders, with configurable notification recipients per booking.
• A subscribable calendar feed so bookings show up in Google Calendar, Outlook, or Apple Calendar.
• CSV export of bookings and the assets checked out on them, including per-asset check-in status.
• Bookings on the phone through the free Shelf Companion app for iPhone and Android: create, edit, reserve, and check equipment in or out from the floor.

For the record

The original plan published on this page in November 2023: design finished, back end built, front end built, code merged, and the email reminder system operational, with a beta for Team plans targeted at Q1 2024. That beta shipped, and Bookings has been generally available since.
